Sangarabharanam Music Academy
Sangarabharanam Music Academy is located in Bharathi Colony 3rd Street, Peelamedu Coimbatore. The Director of the Sangarabharanam Music academy “Isai Kalaimani” “Gaana Varshini” Subhashini Muthukumar.
Sangarabharanam Music Academy is a registered institution since 18.9.2012 (Govt.Regd.263/2013) started as an institution with a mere 5 students, grew and celebrated its annual day at the RS Puram Kalaiarangam, in a grand manner with 65 students.
Now we conduct music classes for all ages from children to adults both direct and Online classes. We have two branches – Peelamedu and Singanallur.
Sangarabharanam Music Academy has its own music direction with 11 pearls(students) of the academy, rendered a garland of songs by the name Paatu Kekalam Come On, an audio album in which the lyrics of 4 songs were written by Subashini Muthukumar. She launched the same during their first annual day in the presence of the Music College Principal, Mr.Palapattu Rajendren. Students of Sangarabharanam Music Academy have sung and even danced in the title song in a one-minute advertisement. The CD of the audio “Paatu ketkalam Come on” was also presented to the legendary playback singer S.Janaki when she was on a visit to Coimbatore. Subhashini Muthukumar along with a few of her music academy students had the privilege of singing with her in private and presented her the audio CD.
The Sangarabharanam Music academy’s strength has gone up from 65 to 100 students in the subsequent year. All students of the vocal music class have been issued a book of collection of songs at the academy.
The Sangarabharanam Music academy has experts to teach Bharathnatyam, drawing, movie singing coaching, TV music competition coaching, dance coaching. Not only Carnatic music, they also teach other musics. They teach music for the interested poor students as a service. They take special care to teach music for physically challenged children, autism children, etc.
Sangarabharanam Music Academy avail opportunity for the students to perform in All India Radio, DD Podigai TV, Sankara TV, etc.,
Sangarabharanam Music Academy conduct Salangai poojai and arangettram for the Bharatanatyam students every year in a special way to motivate the students. Every year, Sangarabharanam music academy conducts Annual day as an opportunity for the students to perform on-stage. The students get great opportunity to perform in the presence of eminent playback singers.
Apart from this the Sangarabharanam Music academy is also giving training to students to participate in stage programming, reality shows, television shows, radio programmes, etc. One of its students A.R.Aiswarya had grabbed the first place in Carnatic music competition in her category, in the Miracle Star Show Competition held in Coimbatore.
The musical couple is also teaching music free of cost to underprivileged children too. As part of these initiatives Subhashini Muthukumar has visited corporation schools around the city and chosen a few talented children. The Sangarabharanam Music academy is conducting summer camp which starts from April 1st every year with qualified teachers. Certificates will be issued to all the students enrolled in summer camp classes and they can avail the opportunity for attending regular classes too subsequently.
The Sangarabharanam Music Academy releases an album every year to expose their students’ talents. “Paatu ketkalam Come on”, “Deiveega sacral”, “5-Cup songs”, “Kaatrinil varum geetham”, “Shrungara Sai”, “Shiva shivaya” are the few albums.
The Sangarabharanam Music Academy also train the students to appear Grade Certificate Programme in music, Violin, Veena, Bharatanatyam, etc., approved by Annamalai University and Keyboard, piano, guitar – Trinity College, London
Coimbatore Crown Lions Club has awarded the title “ Gaana Varshini ” to Ms Subhasini Muthukumar as an appreciation for her service.& SVT Pasumai Arakkattalai has awarded the title ” Madhura vaani” to Subhashini Muthu Kumar.
